Cement Clinker Grinding Application
This cement is produced by burning a homogenized mixture of clay and limestone, resulting in intermediate product called clinker.
This inturn is mixed with gypsum in a specified proportion, and ground into fine powder to form the final product called Portland cement. This product is very useful in construction and engineering works of housing, buildings, bridges and cement concrete roads.
Grinding of clinker is the last and most energy-consuming stage of the cement manufacturing process, drawing on average 40% of the total energy required to produce one ton of cement. During this stage, the clinker particles are substantially reduced in size to generate a certain level of fineness as it has a direct influence on such performance characteristics of the final product as rate of hydration, water demand, strength development, and other.
Cement Clinker Grinding Plant in India
Clinker grinding fulfills two major tasks, which ultimately determine the choice of milling equipment. There are several types of cement clinker griding plant in India that can be employed to pulverize clinker and thus produce cement. The most common finish mills used in the cement industry ball mill, vertical roller mill, tube mill, horizontal roller mill etc. A grinding process is usually characterized by application of a combination of the comminution forces. For example, a vertical roller mill combines compression and friction-shear forces, while a ball mill combines impact and friction forces.
